The Hong Kong government is giving away FREE airline tickets worth more than €250 million to attract more tourists.
These FREE tickets will be made available from March 2023 onwards in stages. Initially, the tickets will be given to residents of south-east Asian countries. Europeans will get them from May 2023 onwards. Cathay Pacific will give away 800,000 tickets. The remaining 420,000 tickets will be given away by Hong Kong Express and Hong Kong Airlines over the course of six months.
If you want to be one of ticket winners, here’s how to do it, according to CNN. There will be three rounds of giveaways.
- March 1: Tickets will be available to residents of Southeast Asia.
- April 1: Tickets open up to residents of mainland China.
- May 1: The rest of the world can apply for the free tickets.
- July 1: Hong Kong locals can try for some of the city’s tickets for residents to “make up for lost travel time,” per CNN.
- However, there is no clear information available on how to avail these FREE air-ticket. We will update you soon.
